Grammy-winning Nigerian superstar Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has revealed that he wants fellow artiste Asake to perform at his wedding.
Wizkid made the disclosure during a recent appearance on Apple Music radio with Asake and DJ Tunez.
The singer said ‘Omo Ope’ was the song that first made him a fan of Asake, but his personal favourite remains ‘Remember,’ which he hopes will be performed on his wedding day.
He described Asake as one of the most gifted vocalists in Africa and globally, adding that the YBNL star continues to be a major force in contemporary African music.

He said, “‘Omo Ope’ made me an Asake fan from the first listen. But my favourite Asake song is ‘Remember’, I think you have to play that one on my wedding day. It is an amazing record.
“You [Asake] are amazing, you have one of the most special voices from home [Africa] and in the world. I have told you that like a million times and I am saying it again on radio. You are a blessing to African music.”
Wizkid is currently in a relationship with his manager and third baby mama, Japa P., with whom he shares three children—two sons and a daughter.
The Starboy boss has hinted at plans for a wedding for several years.
