Chelsea’s disappointing league campaign continued on Saturday with the Blues losing 1-0 to Wolves at the Molineux.
It was a bad start to the interim management of Frank Lampard whose boys couldn’t bite at the Molineux.
Chelsea have now won only four of their last 20 league matches and remain 11th on the Premier League table.
Despite receiving a warm reception from the away fans just before the kickoff, Lampard couldn’t save the day for the club he once captained.
Lampard was appointed as Chelsea manager until the end of the season following the sacking of fellow English man Graham Potter.

Following the loss to Wolves, Chelsea have also failed to score for the third straight game en route to an 11th league defeat of the season.
Wolves impress
Wolves were on the front-foot throughout the entire game and deserved their victory against Chelsea. Matheus Nunez grabbed the only goal of the match – in first for Wolves – in the 31st minute.
The Portuguese beat Kepa Arrizabalaga with a powerful strike from a tight angle following an attempted headed clearance by Kalidou Koulibaly.
“The goal is good news for the team, we’re happy for Nunes because it’s three points, not only the goal but to have three points more means you have done very good work,” Wolves coach Julen Lopetegui said after the game.
“I prefer to highlight all the team. We are going to need them to achieve our aim at the end of the season.”
His compatriot Joao Felix forced a save from Jose Sa but Chelsea were altogether poor and have just two wins in 11 league games.
Chelsea now turn their attention to their Champions League quarter final match against Real Madrid next week.
