Some netizens have reacted to the viral claim of a climate change advocate Yetunde Gold who shared a video claiming to have spoken at the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland.

However, on closer examination, some netizens debunked her claim, asserting that the speech was recorded after the event, or that Yetunde was being economical with the truth.
Alma appears to be the first netizen to observe the inconsistencies in Yetundeās statement when she tweeted:
Alma also believes that the video of Yetunde speaking on climate was not done when the event was on.
Kelechi Ugonna is of the opinion that what Yetunde Gold posted is a representation of the norms and a way of securing government contracts.
Another user Olufisiayo believes that this desire to appear glamorous is the exact reason there seems to be a direct pipeline from Forbesā 30 Under 30 to prison.

Similarly, another Twitter user commented on the deception that people should speak up against or the constant need for validation that drives up and coming individuals to embellish their success stories.
However, another netizen, Alao Abiodun, believes that this trend is prevalent among NGOs in order for them to get some opportunities.
