On Saturday, February 19, Nigerians on the microblogging site, Twitter joined the #Breakfaststories trend.
Specifically, the #Breakfaststories trend was established to aid individuals who are currently going through a tumultuous phase in their respective relationships to share their burden with others. Several of the tweets are relatable while some were written to make netizens laugh (or they were just fabricated for clout).
Equally, the term ābreakfastā is a pseudonym for heartbreak or disappointment in a relationship.
It became prevalent on social media after a scene from a movie where veteran Nollywood actor, Taiwo Hassan popularly known as Ogogo was talking another character.
