The Soro Soke generation from the 2020 #EndSARS protest have re-emerged ahead of the coming elections in 2023.
On Saturday, June 11, Nigerian celebrities were at the Youth Vote Count Mega Concert at Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) to inform, entertain and empower youths of the nation ahead of the 2023 general election.
The event tagged, āYouth Vote Count 2.0 Mega concertā, is geared toward creating awareness of the need for youths to register and vote in the forthcoming 2023 general election.
The concert attracted a mammoth crowd which assembled at the Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos.
Organizers of the event include the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Yiaga Africa, and the European Union.
Aside from the enlightenment segment about the acquisition of a Permanent Voterās Card (PVC); Nigerian entertainers were at the Tafawa Balewa Square to perform and give the concert-goers an awesome time.
Videos from the concert have been making the rounds across social media. Numerous Nigerian celebrities such as Waje, Kizz Daniel, Teni, Falz, 2Face Idibia, Mr Macaroni, to name a few.
Also, the Chairman of INEC, Prof Mahmood Yakubu; Lagos State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Olusegun Agbaje; and other members of the commission were present at the concert.
A video of Wajeās performance at the event was shared on Twitter via the INEC official page.

The video was captioned,

Omawumi also thrilled the Soro Soke generation as she performed her popular hit track, āIf You Ask Meā.
INEC wrote on its official page;
“Na who you go ask if you no register to VOTE. @Omawumi using her strong VOICE to encourage the Mammoth Youth to get registered to VOTE at the ongoing #YouthVoteCount2 in Lagos”
