Transfer Update: Arsenal push harder, make £105m Rice bid as Spurs reject Bayern offer for Kane

Arsenal have submitted a third bid believed to be around £105m for West Ham midfielder Declan Rice, NRTC reports.

The Gunners have seen two bids for the England player rejected after their offers fell short of the £100m West Ham requested.

However, it is understood that West Ham do not believe the structure of the latest bid is right, per BBC.

On Tuesday, West Ham turned down a £90m bid from Manchester City for Rice, whose contract expires in 2024.

Assuming Arsenal’s bid of an initial £100m plus £5m in add-ons succeeds, the initial fee would equal the British record City paid for Jack Grealish.

Rice has scored 15 goals in 245 matches for the Hammers, having made his debut in the 2016-17 season.

The 24-year-old has appeared 41 times for England, playing in all five of their matches at the 2022 World Cup.

Bayern chase Kane

German champions Bayern Munich are expected to make an improved offer for Tottenham striker Harry Kane.

On Tuesday there were widespread reports that the Bavarians made a £70m bid for the England forward. However, Tottenham sources have reportedly denied it had been received. It is understood that the Spurs hierarchy consider the amount as too little to grab their top striker.

Resulting from that, Bayern are now anticipated to activate a further bid and believe they can complete the transfer.

In a recent development, German newspaper Bild reported on Tuesday night that Kane had agreed personal terms with Bayern.

The 29-year-old is out of contract next summer and was eyed by Real Madrid earlier this summer. Also, Manchester United had shown interest in the talismanic striker over the years.
