Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi registered his sixth goal of the 2023/24 Premier League season as Nottingham Forest beat West Ham 2-0 on Saturday, NRTC reports.
The game was Awoniyi’s 14th league outing this campaign after being sidelined through injury for over two months.
Awoniyi muscled out his marker before finishing past Alphonse Areola in the fifth minute of first half additional time.

Callum Hudson-Odoi scored Forest’s second with a powerful strike inside the box in the 94th minute.
In addition to his six goals this term, 26-year-old Awoniyi has recorded two assists.
Argentine Central midfielder NicolĆ”s DomĆnguez created the assist for Awoniyi’s goal. In similar fashion, the impressive Anthony Elanga supplied Hudson-Odoi’s goal.
It’s a sweet victory for the home side who occupy the 15th position with 24 points.

However, West Ham continue to wallow in their poor run. Today’s loss comes after a disappointing 6-0 to Arsenal at the London stadium.
