Liverpool missed the opportunity to go top of the Premier League table after an entertaining 2-2 draw against Manchester United.
United failed to register an attempt on goal in the first half while Liverpool recorded 14, showcasing a commanding performance.
Jurgen Klopp’s charges had Luis Diaz’s goal as the only tangible reward for their dominance before the break.
Hungarian midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai saw his effort saved by Andre Onana. The former RB Leipzig man also missed other opportunities.

United’s poor display in the first period gave little hope for the fans but the team responded well after resumption.
Five minutes into the second forty-five, Jarell Quansah, in his attempt to pass to his teammate, gave the ball away, allowing Bruno Fernandes pounce and launch a first-time shot from distance.
The ball sailed into the net, flying past goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher who was just at the edge of the box.
The Red Devils seem resurrected and came alive, obviously gingered by the goal. Seventeen minutes after the equaliser, Kobbie Mainoo scored a spectacular curling effort.
He received a pass from Aaron Wan-Bissaka, turned and flung the ball into the top left corner, leaving Kelleher helpless. It was the 18-year-old’s first Premier goal at Old Trafford.

However, Liverpool pulled back six minutes before the end of normal time. Egyptian winger Mohammed Salah netted from the spot after Wan-Bissaka fouled substitute Harvey Elliott.
The Merseysiders are level on points with table toppers Arsenal with 71 points.
