The Vice President aims to explore opportunities for enhanced collaboration between Nigeria and Sweden in various sectors, including ICT, innovation, education, digitalization, sustainable transport, mining, and agriculture.

He is also scheduled to meet with significant stakeholders from both the government and the private sector.

Additionally, Shettima will hold discussions with Norrsken, a Stockholm-based venture capital impact investor that recently launched Norrsken22, a USD 205 million technology investment fund focused on Africa.

Norrsken22 is a growth fund supported by over 30 prominent unicorn founders and aims to partner with exceptional entrepreneurs to build Africa’s next tech giants.

This meeting will provide insights into how Nigerian entrepreneurs can leverage this fund to further enhance Nigeria’s technology ecosystem.

Notably, 40 per cent of Norrsken22’s investments are anticipated to be directed toward Nigerian technology entrepreneurs.

Twelve Nigerian private sector companies that have business relations with Sweden are also participating as part of a private sector bloc.

During his time in Sweden, Shettima will articulate Nigeria’s economic vision and outline the ongoing reforms aimed at fostering a business-friendly environment for investors.

The visit will also highlight the vast opportunities within Africa’s largest economy.

The Vice President is expected to return to Nigeria on Saturday.
