Nigeria head coach Eric Chelle has unveiled his final 23-man squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Rwanda and South Africa.
The list features a mix of experience and youth, with captain William Troost-Ekong, Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen, and Fulham’s Alex Iwobi leading the charge.
The Super Eagles welcome midfield anchors Raphael Onyedika, Wilfred Ndidi, and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru. Up front, attacking firepower also comes from the likes of Samuel Chukwueze, Ademola Lookman, Simon Moses, and Cyriel Dessers.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali retains his place after recent impressive outings. He is joined by defenders Calvin Bassey, Olaoluwa Aina, and Bright Osayi-Samuel.

Greece-based goalkeeper Adeleye Adebayo returns to the fold, while Unity Cup sensations Felix Agu and Benjamin Fredericks earn well-deserved places.
Furthermore, Christantus Uche and Tolu Arokodare have been rewarded for their strong performances in June’s friendly against Russia.
Nigeria first face Rwanda’s Amavubi in Uyo on Saturday, 6 September, before flying to Bloemfontein to battle South Africa’s Bafana Bafana on Tuesday, 9 September.
