Super Falcons head coach Justine Madugu has named his 23-player squad for the upcoming friendly double-header against Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses.
The list of invited players is headlined by captain Rasheedat Ajibade and star goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie.
The Nigeria–Cameroon clashes are set for May 31 at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne and June 3 at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta.
Both matches will serve as key preparatory fixtures for Nigeria ahead of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
Notably, the squad includes key defenders like Michelle Alozie, Osinachi Ohale, and Oluwatosin Demehin. They will bring much-needed experience and strength to the backline.

Meanwhile, the midfield will feature the energetic duo of Deborah Abiodun and Jennifer Echegini. Also in midfield are Ajibade and Christy Ucheibe, ensuring balance and creativity in the middle of the park.

Ordega back in Super Falcons squad
Moreover, Nigeria’s attacking options look promising, with Toni Payne, Francisca Ordega, Rinsola Babajide, and Ifeoma Onumonu. These players are expected to add pace, flair, and finishing power to Madugu’s side.
Although Cameroon failed to qualify for the WAFCON finals, the Lionesses will be eager to test themselves against Africa’s most successful women’s football team.
For the Falcons, these games are key opportunities to fine-tune strategies before facing Tunisia, Algeria, and Botswana in Group B.
All invited players have been asked to report to camp at the Am2pm Hotel in Ijebu-Ode on May 26.
As nine-time African champions and serial contenders, Nigeria will be looking to use these friendlies to build momentum ahead of their WAFCON title ambitions.
