Nigeria commemorated 100 years of aviation with a national celebration held yesterday at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja.
The event, hosted by the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development in conjunction with the Aviation Safety Round Table Initiative (ASRI), marked a century of progress and industry transformation since the first aircraft landing in Nigeria in 1925.

The celebration featured keynote speeches, goodwill messages, documentary presentations, and the unveiling of commemorative projects.
Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, stated that the anniversary serves as both a tribute to the pioneers of Nigerian aviation and an affirmation of the ministry’s commitment to building a sector that is safer, stronger, more competitive, and more innovative.
