Ayra Starr, born Sarah Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, has addressed swirling rumors suggesting her new international management deal with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation comes with unusual personal restrictions.

Recall that speculation erupted on social media following a viral video in which a woman alleged that the Nigerian music star’s deal includes a five-year restriction on dating or starting a family.

The rumor gained traction after a podcast host claimed to have insider information about the terms of the contract.

“They allegedly stipulated that Ayra Starr is not allowed to have a boyfriend during the five-year contract. She can’t choose collaborations without Roc Nation’s approval. She also can’t post on social media, dress, or speak in a way that goes against the label’s image,” the host said.
