League Two outfit Fleetwood Town have been rewarded with a dream home fixture against Premier League champions Arsenal in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
The Lancashire side made history by reaching the fourth round for the first time following a 1-0 win over Sheffield United.
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal earned their place in the draw after overcoming Ipswich Town 4-2 on Tuesday night. Fleetwood’s Highbury Stadium now prepares to host the reigning top-flight champions in one of the biggest matches in the lower-league club’s history.
Elsewhere in the draw, holders Manchester City will face Brighton at the Etihad Stadium if they defeat Norwich in their remaining fixture. Meanwhile, Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso faces a high-profile return to Anfield after his side was drawn against Premier League rivals Liverpool.
