Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has been named Premier League Player of the Matchweek after his commanding display in the club’s 2–0 victory over Brentford.
According to the Premier League, the Brazilian earned the accolade for Matchweek 34 after scoring the opener and delivering a dominant midfield performance that helped United edge closer to UEFA Champions League qualification.
Casemiro, 34, has now scored in three successive home games at Old Trafford, underlining his growing influence in Erik ten Hag’s side.
His headed goal against Brentford was his eighth of the season, reinforcing his reputation as a major threat from set‑pieces.

The official report confirmed Casemiro secured 49 percent of the fan vote, beating Arsenal defender Piero Hincapié (27 percent). Other nominees included Nottingham Forest captain Morgan Gibbs‑White, Liverpool’s Alexis Mac Allister, West Ham’s Tomáš Souček, Forest forward Igor Jesus, and Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon.
This marks Casemiro’s second Player of the Matchweek award of the season, having previously won in Matchweek 24.
