D’Tigress roar into AfroBasket quarter-finals, await winner of Cameroon vs Angola clash

Nigeria's senior female basketball team D'Tigress have reached the quarter-finals of the 2025 Women's AfroBasket Championship.

Nigeria’s D’Tigress have stormed into the quarter-finals of the 2025 Women’s AfroBasket Championship after edging Mozambique 60–55 in a tense Group D encounter.

The reigning African champions showed much grit to seal their second successive win of the tournament on Monday night in Cote d’Ivoire.

Following their dominant 92–45 victory over Rwanda in the opening game, this latest win further solidifies their title credentials. While their performance against Mozambique was less flamboyant, it only showcased the team’s ability to grind out results under pressure.
