The 2026 Grammy Awards nominations have once again placed Nigerian music and Afrobeats in the global spotlight, with top Nigerian artists securing multiple nominations in major categories.
For the fourth consecutive year, the Best African Music Performance category has returned to the Grammys, and Nigerian acts are leading the charge.
Burna Boy earned a nomination for his song “Love” from the album No Sign of Weakness, while Davido and Omah Lay were also recognized for their collaboration “With You.” Another strong contender, Ayra Starr, bagged a nomination for “Gimme Dat,” featuring Wizkid.
Other African artists on the list include Eddy Kenzo and Mehran Matin for their inspiring track “Hope & Love,” and Tyla for “Push 2 Start.”
