Ruben Amorim has been awarded the Barclays Premier League Manager of the Month for October 2025. This comes after his Manchester United side secured three wins in as many games during the month.
United began the 2025-26 season under immense pressure. They had collected just seven points from six matches and were facing scrutiny over performance and direction. The club’s exit from the League Cup to lower-league opposition and lingering instability amplified concerns.
The revival
In October, United improved. They beat Liverpool 2-1 at Anfield for the first time in nearly a decade. This was followed by a 4-2 win over Brighton & Hove Albion and a 2-0 home victory against Sunderland. The trio of wins gave them a +5 goal difference for the month.

The award marks Amorim’s first Manager of the Month recognition since taking over at United in November 2024. It is also the first time a United manager has won it since his predecessor in November 2023.
Amorim himself remained grounded. He credited his players and staff, saying “the credit is not mine … they did really well.” He also flagged his ambition to win the next one because “it means we win football matches.”
Beyond the short-term boost, the award has deeper implications for Man Utd. After a season with 13 losses in 25 games and a 16th-place finish under him, this month’s form is a pick above earlier performances in difficult circumstances.
As United prepares for November fixtures, the challenge will be sustaining the momentum. For Amorim, the next match is less about celebrating the last month and more about proving the revival is real.
