Well, how is the huddle going to be on Google Chat? In other words, huddles are supposed to be similar to the kind of informal discussions people might have when they’re walking past their colleagues’ workplace or if they happen to be nearby and waiting for a meeting to start. Rather than booking an audio or video call you just click the phone icon in a chat and select ‘Start a huddle.’ This will make a slot in the chat where you can easily converse. There is the usual option to switch it to a video call during the meeting as well.

Once more, you would be right at home if you have used lower-altitude apps such as Discord or Slack before. It will be within the one-on-one and group conversations, and spaces. If you have a rapid release domain you should get it by December 20 and if you have a scheduled release domain you will be able to see huddles from January 6.
