The Nigerian gospel music scene has been thrown into grief following the passing of Taiwo Adegbodu, one half of the popular gospel duo, Adegbodu Twins.
News of his death surfaced on Sunday after his twin brother and music partner, Kehinde Adegbodu, took to social media to announce the heartbreaking development.
In an emotional message, Kehinde expressed deep sorrow over the loss of his brother and fellow minister.
He wrote: “TAIWO, why will you leave me and your kids without notification?
My heart is bleeding, Lord how do you want me to cope without him?
God why? This is too much for me to bear!!!”

Taiwo and Kehinde were widely known for their energetic worship ministrations, coordinated twin performances, and impactful stage presence. Their ministry touched many churches and Christian gatherings across the country, especially in Nigeria’s South-West.
Through their music and live worship sessions, the duo built a strong and loyal following within gospel circles.
At the time of filing this report, the circumstances surrounding Taiwo Adegbodu’s death, as well as funeral plans, have not been made public.
