Nigerian singer Magixx has weighed in on the debate over sharing financial responsibilities in relationships and marriage, stating that he does not support the idea of splitting bills between partners.
The singer said he believes men should take full responsibility for expenses in both dating relationships and marriage, regardless of how the relationship began.

Speaking during a recent interview on Cool FM Lagos, the ‘Love Don’t Cost A Dime’ singer maintained that men should cover the bills even when the woman is the one who initiated the relationship.

“I don’t believe in 50/50. I believe a man should pay the bills even if it is the woman who asked him out,” he said.
However, Magixx acknowledged that his perspective might have been different if he had not achieved financial success, admitting that he is uncertain whether he would still hold the same view if he were not wealthy.
