Renowned chef and multiple Guinness World Record holder Hilda Baci has turned 30, using the milestone to reflect on her journey so far and express deep gratitude.

Sharing her thoughts on Instagram, the culinary star likened entering her thirties to beginning “a brand-new book.”

“This is 30, and it feels like stepping into a brand-new book, not just another chapter,” she wrote on Saturday.

“I carry every lesson, every tear, every win with me, but I walk forward lighter, stronger, and overflowing with gratitude to God. The woman I’ve prayed to be is the woman I’m becoming.”

Baci’s birthday closely followed yet another groundbreaking moment in her career.

On September 15, 2025, she achieved a new Guinness World Record by cooking the largest pot of Nigerian-style Jollof rice.

Weighing in at an astonishing 8,000 kilograms (approximately 17,637 pounds), the event drew massive crowds in Lagos and was later officially recognized by Guinness World Records.

This achievement adds to her earlier success in May 2023, when she set the world record for the longest individual cooking marathon, clocking in at 93 hours and 11 minutes.

That effort catapulted her to international fame and brought global attention to Nigerian cuisine.
