Former Big Brother Naija Lockdown housemate, Neo Akpofure, has shared how meeting music producer Don Jazzy ten years ago gave him a fresh drive toward his dreams.
He explained on Instagram that he had taken part in the MTV Base trivia contest, A Day with Don Jazzy, a decade ago and was announced as the winner.
The prize included an all-expense-paid trip to South Africa with Don Jazzy and the Mavin Records crew.
At that time, Neo was a student at the University of Calabar and could not join the trip because of his final examinations.
Instead, he was flown to Lagos, where he met Don Jazzy in person and was given ₦500,000.
Neo said that moment was a turning point in his life because it restored his belief in what he could achieve and strengthened his determination to pursue his goals.
Looking back, Neo described the encounter as a blessing that pushed him to keep moving forward despite challenges.

He said: “That single encounter made me believe I could truly be whoever I wanted to be,” Neo wrote. “It reignited a fire in me that no circumstance could put out. Today, a decade later, I look back with so much gratitude. To Don Jazzy, who without even knowing, re-inspired my dreams thank you. To God, who has kept every promise He made to me thank you. Reacting to the post, Don Jazzy praised Neo, writing: “Bro GOD got you. You are destined for greatness. Everybody I know that knows you always has amazing things to say about you. Makes me happy and I’m proud to have a line or two in your book. More blessings ahead.”
