Nollywood star Kate Henshaw has fired back at a social media user who attempted to ridicule her by bringing up her former relationship with late gospel musician Sammie Okposo.
The drama unfolded on X (formerly Twitter), after the troll reshared an old clip in which Kate revealed that she had suffered physical abuse from Sammie during their time together.
Henshaw and Okposo reportedly dated for three to four years in the early 2000s. At the time, fans speculated that the two were heading for marriage, but the relationship ended and both parties moved on with their lives.
Taking a personal jab at the actress, the troll posted, “Aunty Kate, I heard someone say that you’re just a bitter old ‘agbaya’ woman because you’ve been let down by men too many times and ended up ‘husbandless’. Is that true?”

In a composed yet pointed reply, Henshaw addressed the experience without shame:
“Awwww, I am still here, though. These things happen, and I am better not bitter,” she said.
She didn’t stop there. The actress also delivered a scathing remark about the troll’s family, saying, “Can’t say the same for the females in your family. I saw one at farmcity the other night. I hope the pay she brought home fed the family for the night, though. I am good, to be honest. Next…..”
Sammie Okposo, remembered for hit songs like Wellu Wellu, passed away in his sleep on November 25, 2022, at age 51. His death came just months after publicly acknowledging infidelity, and it left many in the gospel community in shock.
