LeBron James delivered yet another defining playoff moment as the Los Angeles Lakers edged closer to progression. His late three-pointer forced overtime in a tense clash with the Houston Rockets.
The four-time MVP tied the game with just 13 seconds remaining. Moments later, he nearly sealed it at the buzzer, but his effort struck the rim.
Nevertheless, the Lakers regrouped and secured a 112-108 overtime win. That result handed them a commanding 3-0 lead in the series.
James, 41, stepped up amid key absences in the squad. He recorded 29 points and 13 rebounds in a dominant display. Marcus Smart also played a crucial role with a strong all-round performance. He scored 21 points, including eight in overtime, and added 10 assists.
“With two of our best players down, we’ve got to play desperate,” said Smart. “We’ve got to be the most desperate team.
“That’s how we’ve been playing, and that’s how we’re winning, right? The chemistry has been good,” he added confidently.
Playoff drama intensifies as injuries and comebacks shape other series
Houston struggled again without Kevin Durant, who missed out due to an ankle injury. His absence continues to impact the Rockets’ offensive rhythm.

Game four now presents a must-win scenario for Houston. A defeat would confirm a clean sweep and end their playoff hopes.
