Nigerian comedian Destalker has addressed the ongoing speculation about his marital status, confirming that he has been divorced for some time now.
In an interview with content creator Timi Agbaje, Destalker revealed that despite the end of his marriage, he feels more content than ever.
“I am happy, I’ve a happy home. I was married, but not anymore. Marriage is not a criteria for a happy home,” he stated.
The comedian explained that his three-year marriage ended due to irreconcilable differences and admitted that their brief six-month courtship before marriage may have played a role in its eventual breakdown.

He went on to reflect on gender dynamics in relationships, pointing out that men often have more freedom to move on quickly after a divorce.
“That’s the difference between a man and a woman. I can decide to remarry next week Friday or Saturday. But a woman can’t. It’s a man’s decision for marriage,” he said.
Destalker also shared his perspective on societal expectations, claiming that women tend to benefit more from marriage than men.
Despite his separation, he emphasized that he still enjoys a peaceful and fulfilling home life, reinforcing his belief that happiness isn’t dependent on marital status.
