Popular Nollywood actress, Motilola Akinlami, has mended her relationship with her former boss and producer, Kunle Afod, bringing an end to a long-standing dispute between the two.
The reconciliation comes years after a public fallout that drew attention within the industry. In 2024, Motilola had accused Afod of influencing other producers against offering her roles after she reportedly ended her professional relationship with him over issues linked to his wife’s alleged insecurity.
In a recent interview with actor Tony Montana, the actress confirmed that their disagreement, which lasted six years, has now been resolved.
She also acknowledged the role played by fellow industry figures, particularly Femi Adebayo, in facilitating the reconciliation.
“I was pained”.

“So, shout out to Femi Adebayo for helping us to put it over. Femi Adebayo is a peaceful person. The issue has been resolved between myself and my boss, Kunle Afod. God has helped us resolve it. Some of the older colleagues have intervened. Special thanks to Femi Adebayo and Bayo Tijani for their efforts”, she said.
