My life was easier with multiple women – Akon opens up on relationships

Akon, the well-known Senegalese-American rapper, has said he found life less stressful when he was involved with more than one woman at the same time.

The 53-year-old shared this perspective during a recent interview with The Shade Room.

Speaking about his past romantic experiences, the singer, who has long expressed support for polygamy, explained that being with a single partner has been more challenging for him.

“My life was a lot easier when I had multiple women surrounding me. It is a lot harder with just one woman”, he said.

According to reports, Akon’s comments came about six months after his wife of 28 years, Tomeka Thiam, initiated divorce proceedings, citing irreconcilable differences.
