Her death comes just days after the burial of late Nigerian gospel singer, Bunmi Akinnanu, popularly known by the title of her hit song, “Omije Oju Mi.” Akinnanu was laid to rest on Thursday, January 29, 2026, following emotional funeral rites that surfaced on social media.
It will be recalled that earlier burial plans for Akinnanu were disrupted due to unresolved internal disputes within the gospel music community, including family clarifications denying fundraising appeals.
