Chiamaka Nnadozie has once again earned a place among the top three finalists for the 2025 CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year. This puts her on the brink of a historic third consecutive win.
The 24-year-old Nigerian now guards the posts for Brighton & Hove Albion in England’s Women’s Super League. She was named a finalist by CAF alongside Morocco’s Khadija Er-Rmichi and South Africa’s Andile Dlamini.
Nnadozie has been the pillar of Nigeria’s defense all year. At the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), she kept four clean sheets. She also made key saves as the Super Falcons reclaimed their 10th continental crown. Her performances earned her the Golden Glove as the tournament’s best goalkeeper.
Club side and beyond
On the club front, Nnadozie closed out her spell with Paris FC in style. In the 2025 Coupe de France final, she kept a clean sheet. She also saved two penalties in the shootout to beat Paris Saint-Germain. She joined Brighton in the summer, where she has already made an impact and drawn praise for her composure.
Her nomination for CAF’s top goalkeeper award is no surprise. She is already the reigning champion, having won the CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year in both 2023 and 2024.
Beyond Africa, Nnadozie’s star continues to rise. She was shortlisted for the 2025 Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper award.

The 2025 CAF Awards ceremony will take place in Rabat, Morocco, on November 19. If Nnadozie wins, she will become only the second player to win the CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year three years in a row. She would also be the first woman to achieve this.
