Nollywood actress Lilian Esoro is mourning the death of her father, Ferdinand Collins Esoro, just weeks after she lost a close friend.
The actress made the announcement on Sunday through a post on Instagram, where she shared a photo of her late father and opened up about the difficult period she has been facing.
Lilian revealed that her father died suddenly while she was still trying to cope with the earlier loss of her friend.
She described him as an important figure in her life and the only parent she had left at the time of his death.
The actress said her father played a major role in her Christian faith, noting that he introduced her to Christ and taught her about the Bible and prayer.

Since his death, Lilian said she has tried to keep herself occupied with work, social activities and event planning. However, she admitted that staying busy has not taken away the pain of losing him.
She explained that her grief has come in different ways, with some days feeling normal and others bringing sudden and deep sadness.
The actress said the pain has been difficult to put into words as she continues to adjust to life without her father.
Despite the difficult experience, Lilian said she continues to hold on to her faith and believes that God remains in control.
She also expressed appreciation to her family and friends for standing by her through their prayers, love, and support.
