At the centre of discussions is a clear shift, positioning sport beyond competition as a driver of economic growth, job creation, youth development, and social impact across Africa.
Specifically, day one sessions focused on adoption of the workshop agenda, presentations on the AU policy framework, the AUSC strategic plan (2024–2028), and monitoring systems to ensure accountability.
Together, Nigeria’s hosting role reinforces its leadership in shaping sports development across West Africa while aligning national priorities under the RHINSE framework with the broader African agenda.
