Group B action sees Nasarawa Amazons welcome Delta Queens. Meanwhile, Confluence Queens host Abia Angels, and Sunshine Queens take on FC Robo Queens in a competitive opening-day match.
Six teams will suffer relegation based on performance rankings. Simultaneously, two clubs from the NWFL Championship will gain promotion to the Premiership for the 2026/2027 season.
The NWFL board stated their focus is on delivering a season with women’s football growth. League organisers assured fans of professional management with improved officiating, stronger media coverage, and better fan engagement across match venues.
Rivers Angels and Pelican Stars remain the most successful clubs with seven titles each. Bayelsa Queens follow closely with six championships after their 2024/2025 win over Nasarawa Amazons.
