The Aba club also secured two CAF Super Cups and nine NPFL titles. Yet they now find continental success harder to repeat.

In 2024, Enyimba only reached the Confederation Cup group stage. That result showed how competitive the continent has become.
North African clubs remain consistent in their dominance. Egypt and Morocco continue to invest in quality, structure, and coaching.
Nigerian teams need to match that standard or risk falling behind. Financial stability alone will not close the gap.
Remo Stars are aware of the challenge. Their ambition reflects planning, not wishful thinking. They aim to compete with boldness.
They have three months to fine-tune systems, develop, and stay injury-free. The outcome will depend on precision and execution.
