The Oyo State Government has approved the release of ₦153.5 million to support law students of Oyo origin studying at the Nigerian Law School, offering relief to those facing financial strain.
The Secretary of the Oyo State Scholarship Board, Amos Akinyanju, announced the development yesterday.He noted that the bursary would benefit 307 students for the 2024/2025 academic session.
The beneficiaries are drawn from the seven campuses of the Nigerian Law School.
To ensure a transparent and orderly disbursement, the state has scheduled a mandatory four-day screening exercise.

The exercise will run from Monday, 27 April to Thursday, 30 April 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. daily.
The screening will take place at the Scholarship Board Room, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Agodi, Ibadan.
Schedule
To streamline the process, the board assigned students specific screening dates based on their Law School campuses.
Those in Enugu and Yenagoa were scheduled for Monday, 27 April, while students in Port Harcourt and Yola were slated for Tuesday, 28 April.
Candidates studying in Abuja and Kano were fixed for Wednesday, 29 April, with those in Lagos expected to attend on Thursday, 30 April.

Akinyanju urged all shortlisted candidates to attend on their designated dates, stressing that strict adherence would help ensure a smooth exercise.
