Pastor Enenche rejects N30m donation from Kebbi governor at crusade

Dr. Paul Enenche, the Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, has refused a N30 million donation presented by the Kebbi State Government during a Christian crusade in the state.

The money was announced at the Kebbi Healing and Deliverance Crusade by the Commissioner for Social Welfare, Zayyanu Umar Aliero, who represented Governor Nasir Idris at the event.

He told the gathering that the governor had approved the funds and they were ready to be handed over as support for the crusade.

But Pastor Enenche, during his speech at the event, turned down the offer.

He asked that the money be redirected to help orphans and those in need.

He explained that his ministry does not collect money from government sources for church programmes, stressing that such public funds should serve the welfare of the people.

He reminded the crowd that the church’s headquarters in Abuja, the Glory Dome, was built without any support from the government—from purchasing the land to the final structure.

According to him, the church’s position is to stay free from any form of government influence.

Pastor Enenche suggested that such support should go through official Christian bodies like the Christian Association of Nigeria or the Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board instead.

After the pastor’s remarks, Commissioner Aliero praised his decision and thanked him for his spiritual impact in Kebbi State.
