Pastor Paul Adefarasin in police custody over viral ‘gun’ video

Pastor Paul Adefarasin, leader of the House on the Rock Church, on Tuesday, appeared at the Lagos State Police Command headquarters in Ikeja following a viral video that raised public concern.

The video, which has been widely shared on social media, showed the pastor during a roadside conversation while holding what many described as a gun-like object.

The incident, recorded by a passerby, took place while Adefarasin was inside an unregistered vehicle.

The short clip led to online debates, with several viewers claiming the object resembled a firearm.

The footage drew enough attention for the police to begin an investigation.

After the video went viral, the Lagos Police Command announced that Adefarasin reported himself and is currently being questioned by officers handling the case.
