The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of the first set of results for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
However, candidates are not yet able to print their official result slips, as access is currently limited to score checking via SMS.
In a statement issued on Friday night, JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, explained that the option to print result slips would be activated later. He added that candidates who took the exam on Thursday, April 16, can check their scores for now using the approved SMS method.
The board also issued a strong warning against any attempt to falsify or tamper with results, stressing that altering official score messages is a punishable offence.
“Candidates are strongly cautioned against manipulating the SMS received from the official platform (55019/66019) to fabricate or alter scores with the intent to mislead others, including parents. Such actions constitute a serious criminal offence,” Benjamin said.
