Nigeria’s Super Eagles have arrived in Fès, Morocco as they kick-start their final AFCON 2025 preparations. Players and officials touched down on Thursday.
Before the journey, Éric Chelle’s squad spent five intensive days camping in Cairo, Egypt. Preparations there ended with a narrow 2-1 defeat against the Pharaohs at the Cairo International Stadium.
Defender Chidozie Awaziem scored Nigeria’s only goal on Tuesday.

Group C awaits as Nigeria begin AFCON 2025 campaign
The three-time African champions face a demanding Group C schedule. They are drawn alongside Tanzania, the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia, and Uganda.
Nigeria will open their campaign against the Taifa Stars next Tuesday before facing Tunisia and then the Cranes.
All group matches will be staged at the Complexe Sportif de Fès.
