Nigeria’s Super Eagles have announced their 25-man squad for the decisive 2026 FIFA World Cup play-offs. The list was released at 9 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2025.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) confirmed that the knockout play-offs will be held in Rabat, Morocco, between Thursday, November 13 and Sunday, November 16, 2025.
Both semi-finals and the grand final will take place in the Moroccan capital, ensuring a neutral yet electric setting for the continent’s finest teams.
Nigeria set for high-stakes clash against Gabon
The Super Eagles are scheduled to open proceedings against Gabon at 17:00 local time (16:00 GMT) on Thursday, 13 November. Later that evening, Cameroon will take on DR Congo at 20:00 local time (19:00 GMT). The winners of both ties will meet in the final of the playoffs on Sunday, 16 November.

The eventual champion will move on to the FIFA Inter-Continental Play-Off Tournament in March 2026, where just one more win will secure a ticket to the World Cup in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
