Super Eagles midfielder Tochukwu Nnadi has stated that Nigeria is determined to defend their Unity Cup title.
The West African nation secured a 2-0 victory over Zimbabwe on Tuesday to reach the finalm and confidence is building within the squad.
The team will face Jamaica in a repeat of last year’s final. That encounter ended in a dramatic penalty shootout win.
Nnadi emphasised the team’s focus and hunger. “We are here to win the Unity Cup,” he declared.
Preparation has been intense despite limited training sessions, with pllayers described as quickly adapting to each other.
Team chemistry and determination drive Nigeria’s ambition
Nnadi highlighted the importance of unity within the squad. “We all just have to be a team and work together,” he stated.
He admitted the early sessions were challenging. However, improvement has been visible with each passing day.

The team’s performance against Zimbabwe showed growing cohesion, and their connection on the pitch stood out.

Nnadi also hinted at bigger ambitions beyond this tournament. The AFCON remains a key target for the Olympique Marseille man.
