The defending champions were placed in Group C, where familiar rivals and dangerous outsiders await. Zambia headline the challenge, while Egypt and Malawi complete a group likely to test Nigeria’s depth and experience.
Fresh from claiming a historic 10th continental crown in 2025, the Falcons arrive with momentum. That triumph, sealed by a dramatic 3–2 comeback victory over hosts Morocco, reaffirmed their enduring grip on African women’s football.
However, there will be no easy passages in Morocco.Zambia’s rapid rise has reshaped the competitive landscape, while Egypt and Malawi will sense opportunity against the favourites.

Buoyed by home support, hosts Morocco will lead Group A. They face stern tests against Algeria, Senegal, and an energetic Kenyan side seeking a breakthrough moment.
