President Bola Tinubu has celebrated his wife, Oluremi, as she turned 66 on Monday, describing her as a trusted companion who has stood by him throughout his personal and political journey.
In a birthday message released to mark the occasion, the president expressed appreciation for the First Lady’s years of support, patience and commitment to their family, recalling the different stages of their lives together.
Tinubu referred to a Yoruba saying that describes a good wife as her husband’s crown, saying his wife had demonstrated the qualities associated with a virtuous woman through her actions and devotion.

The president said his wife had remained a source of strength during difficult periods, offering him prayers, reassurance and candid advice, particularly after demanding days in public office.
He also praised her role in raising their family, noting that their children and grandchildren had continued to benefit from the values and faith she had instilled in them.
Tinubu highlighted the First Lady’s involvement in humanitarian and public service activities over the years. He recalled her work with the New Era Foundation during his tenure as Lagos State governor and commended her ongoing interventions through the Renewed Hope Initiative.

He listed young people, widows, elderly citizens, women farmers and people living with health challenges, including tuberculosis, among those who have benefited from her initiatives.
Reflecting on their decades together, Tinubu said he would still choose the same path that led to their union if he had the opportunity to live his life again.
