President Bola Tinubu has praised Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, for his inclusive leadership style, describing him as a pan-Nigerian figure as he marks his 65th birthday.

The President’s message was conveyed in a statement issued on Tuesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

Tinubu commended Adeleke for promoting national unity through his background and governance approach.

“He has proven to be pan-Nigerian in his way of life and governance philosophy, exemplified by his Yoruba and Igbo heritage,” Tinubu said.

Highlighting Adeleke’s ability to bridge cultural divides, the President noted that the governor’s personal and political conduct reflects a strong commitment to national integration—something he said is especially vital in today’s Nigeria.

Governor Adeleke, who turned 65 on May 13, first entered national politics in 2017 when he was elected Senator for Osun West, succeeding his late brother, Senator Isiaka Adeleke. He became governor of Osun State in 2022 under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Tinubu lauded Adeleke’s growing influence in Nigerian politics, saying, “a politician of reckoning not only in Osun State but also across the country and beyond.”

In a closing note, Tinubu offered personal prayers for the governor’s continued well-being and success.

“The President personally prays for more years, good health and God’s infinite mercies on Governor Adeleke, the Asiwaju of Edeland, his hometown,” the statement concluded.
