Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma has ended the appointment of Cyprian Akaolisa as the state’s Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice.
The decision was announced by the Commissioner for Information, Declan Emelumba, on Monday afternoon.
No reason was given for the removal in the official statement.
The governor ordered Akaolisa to immediately return all government properties in his possession to the State Solicitor General and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Justice.

Akaolisa had served in this role since his appointment by Governor Uzodimma and was once considered a close supporter, even stepping in as the governor’s deputy in 2019.
