With both teams owning fragile defences, an early goal always felt inevitable and Wolves delivered inside four minutes to lift the crowd.
Hwang later buried a penalty with calm precision, while teenage sensation Mane powered home a stunning low drive for his first senior goal.
Although the second half carried more balance, the contest had already slipped beyond West Ham’s reach, and frustration continued to grow. As Wolves finally celebrated relief, the Hammers left with heavier pressure and darker doubts.
