The 2026 FIFA World Cup will run from June 11 to July 19 across three host nations, USA, Canada and Mexico.
It will be the biggest yet, with 48 nations taking part, 16 more than in Qatar 2022.
The final six spots were decided in March. Sweden, Turkey, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Czech Republic qualified through UEFA play‑offs.
Iraq and DR Congo claimed the last two places via inter‑confederation play‑offs, with Iraq returning after four decades.
Curacao had already secured qualification, becoming the smallest nation ever to reach a World Cup.

Africa will be represented by Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, Ghana, Algeria, Tunisia, Côte d’Ivoire, Cape Verde, South Africa, and DR Congo.
