X ‘Valentine’ converts text to video

X has unveiled Valentine, an AI tool in early testing that generates video clips from text prompts as part of its broader generative AI push.

Valentine will allow users to enter short written descriptions, which the system then converts into stylized, dynamic video content. While the technical specifics remain undisclosed, initial previews suggest the model can interpret natural language prompts to produce short-form video outputs suitable for posts, replies, or broader creative use.

X has not revealed the model architecture or data sources powering Valentine, but the move positions the platform in direct competition with OpenAI’s Sora, Google’s Veo, and similar AI video generation technologies currently under development. Elon Musk has hinted that the tool may become part of X’s in-app creative suite, enabling real-time content creation, sharing, and possibly monetization for users.

Sources within the company suggest that the feature is being designed for integration with X’s Premium and creator tools, offering influencers, marketers, and everyday users a new way to generate visually engaging content without external production software.

The tool aligns with Musk’s stated goal of turning X into a one-stop “everything app,” incorporating social networking, financial tools, and now, AI-powered content creation. Although no public release timeline has been confirmed, internal testing is ongoing.

Once launched, Valentine could significantly reshape user engagement by lowering the barrier to entry for video content creation, a key growth area across all major social platforms.
