Following this assertion, various segments of Nigerian society, including citizens, political parties, and discerning members, have urged the All Progressives Congress (APC) led administration to transparently disclose the specific amount inherited from the previous government.

The former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, has been remanded in the Kuje Correctional Centre due to allegations of embezzlement. 

This decision was made by the High Court in the Federal Capital Territory, and Emefiele will remain at Kuje until his bail request is resolved.

The Federal Government has charged him with 20 counts of procurement fraud amounting to N6.5 billion.

In response to this development, Netizens expressed their views, suggesting that the former CBN Governor is repeating a pattern that led to the unfortunate deaths of Nigerians due to the naira redesign policy.
