Nigerian music icon, Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Face, has dismissed concerns about the future of Afrobeats, insisting that the genre remains strong and far from declining on the global scene.
In a recent chat with Yaw on Wazobia FM Lagos, the “African Queen” hitmaker pushed back against claims that Afrobeats could lose its international appeal, maintaining that such fears are unfounded.
According to him, the steady rise of young and talented musicians across the country guarantees the genre’s continued relevance. He emphasised that emerging artists are playing a crucial role in sustaining and evolving Afrobeats.
